WHY I MAKE SOAP

I began making my own soap because my skin was becoming rough and irritated using soaps bought from supermarkets almost all of which I found to contain the chemical Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (commonly known as SLS).
SLS is a surfactant which is used as a foaming agent in just about every product that you buy for the bathroom and kitchen.
When I read about this chemical and the harmful effects it has on your skin I was shocked .
I was also very dissapointed to find that shampoos without SLS were very hard to come by in my local health food shops also the soaps and shampoos that they did sell were very expensive.

So began my quest to rid my life of these harmful chemicals and I began studying and trying out recipe ideas for making my own soaps using a vegetable glycerine base.
Within a few days of using my own soap my skin felt softer and the condition of my hands and nails improved.My husband uses the soap on his hair and his scalp has stopped flaking and itching too.

I have now introduced a completely organic shampoo with a natural plant based surfactant which is great for sensative skin and is perfect for babies.
I must say that it was never my intention to start a business selling my products, but when people here started asking me for more of my products having tried them for themselves things just happened and here I am.I hope you enjoy these products as much as I enjoy making and presenting them to you .
